Every month I post numbers for sales in an effort to be transparent about an indie author’s earnings. This month may be slightly off because there was an event at the end of the month, and then I was off to a retreat out-of-state.
The first event this month was a small outdoor arts festival. I usually do okay at art festivals, but location plays a large role. Often, you are not able to control where you’re placed. At this event, I did not have a great one.
The second event was a literary festival book fair. I was one of about forty authors. However, I did better selling at this event because the attendees were readers looking to buy books. This sort of event also tends to boost my social channel numbers.
