November was the first month in a bit that I didn’t run a sale on any version of my books. It showed in the Amazon royalties report. I didn’t have as many e-book sales, but I did surpass last month’s Amazon royalties.
On the Amazon platform, if an e-book is priced at $2.99 or above, the author will receive a 75% royalty. If the author lowers the price below $2.99, like running a sale of $0.99 on the e-book, the author receives a 35% royalty.
November 2024 Sales
Most of my book income this month was from live event sales or in-person sales (people ordering for holiday gift giving) from my immediate friends / family / acquaintances network. The live event was an author fair hosted at a public library. I learned comic and pop culture conventions have a lot more of my target readers in attendance.
Also, I’m currently reworking my Amazon and website content to encourage more online sales. Hopefully I can get a better handle on how to advertise and drive sales online for e-books and audiobooks.
